NASHVILLE, Tenn. — It’s not as simple as flipping a switch.
But it sure looked like that’s exactly what Alvin Kamara did halfway through the New Orleans Saints’ 38-28 victory at Tennessee on Sunday. “Yeah, a little bit,” Kamara agreed after he scored his first two touchdowns since Week 3 — a 40-yard run in the third quarter, followed by a 1-yard run on the next drive. “Just to get that burst back. Just get it back going. Like I said last week, I think it’s just a race every week to be as close to 100% as you can, so that’s what I’ve been trying to do.”
Kamara acknowledged that he has been trying to get that sensation back ever since he missed two games with knee and ankle injuries in Weeks 7-8.
95% of the NFL is good. We should start featuring those guys instead.

National Anthem performances at NFL games have certainly had their share controversy over the past few seasons. This season the drama seems to have subsided, at least from a coverage standpoint. Football fan Paul Hogan of Pittsburgh noticed Saints receiver Ted Ginn Jr during TV highlights of the Saints / Panthers game from November 24th. Oddly, the highlights showed Ginn during the Star-Spangled Banner prior to kickoff. Luckily for us, Hogan captured the moment and shared it on social media. He even did the replay in slow motion so we could all clearly see Ginn’s actions.

New Orleans Saints defensive end Marcus Davenport will need season-ending surgery to repair an injury sustained to his foot, according to an NFL Network report.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport first reported the news Tuesday evening. Rapoport later reported that Davenport saw Dr. Robert Anderson, a foot expert based out of Green Bay who serves as the Packers’ assistant team physician, for a second opinion.
Davenport left Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth quarter with a non-contact injury.
