Saints Coach Sean Payton said center Olin Kreutz, the 13-year veteran New Orleans signed Friday turned down higher paying offers from other teams.
The attraction, Payton made clear but left unsaid, was a shot at winning a Super Bowl. Kreutz joined general manager Mickey Loomis to watch the Saints practice Thursday evening and what he saw was worth more than more dollars somewhere else, according to Payton.
