Who Dat Nation, I’ve got to be real with y’all — this one hurt. The Saints had chances against the Raiders, but the way we handled the fourth quarter left me shaking my head. What really stings is how the team looked in the fourth quarter. The Raiders kept pushing, and instead of fighting back, the Saints seemed to fold. The energy dropped, the defense got pushed around, and the offense couldn’t find answers. It was like the team gave up before the clock hit zero, and that’s not the Saints football we expect in the Dome. And while many will argue that the fumble call was the refs screwing us I think that it was a fair call and the real blame lies with the saints failing in the fourth quarter, I’ll always support this team, but I’m not going to sugarcoat it. The Saints had opportunities, and they let them slip away. The numbers will show some decent performances, but the eye test says we didn’t finish. Final thought: Kick the field goal. Play all four quarters. Don’t give up. That’s how you win in the NFL.
